WELCOME TO NORTHERN ONTARIO

Welcome to Northern Ontario!

Adventure North offers a residential hockey camp for your children, but what about you ?Adventure North can help you with your Northern Ontario vacation. There are numerous activities for parents and families to do in this area from site seeing to great lake fishing.

If staying close by is preferred, Sudbury has endless activities for you to enjoy. Some of the most popular tourist attractions Sudbury has to offer are Science North, Dynamic Earth, Bell Park, the Millennium Shopping Centre, Sudbury Downs Race Track and Casino and many beautiful golf courses.

My parents Mary and Brian Crowder have a two bedroom cottage next to their house on Black Lake that they rent to our campers’ parents. Their property is a five-minute drive from the arena and has a hot tub and sauna. You can contact Mary and Brian by phone at 705-692-9503. If another hotel or bed and breakfast stay is preferred, there are many in the Sudbury area. Below are links to hotels, bed and breakfasts and lodges, for you to check out.

Killarney Provincial Park is a 45minute drive from us and is home to beautiful forests with hiking trails, picnic areas, lodging, sightseeing, and best of all; home of the famous “Killarney Fish and Chips.”

Fairbanks Lake is a 45 minute drive from Adventure North. This spring-fed lake is so clear it attracts snorkelers and scuba divers from all across Canada. Fairbanks Provincial Park offers beautiful walking trails that allow you to explore the wonderful landscape. This park has over 150 camp sites; giving you plenty of opportunity for your family to stay at this park. There is also Fairbanks Resort which offers cabins and boats to rent.

Manitoulin Island is the largest freshwater island in the world and is only a 90minute drive from Adventure North Hockey Camp. This beautiful quaint island attracts tourists annually from all around the world. This majestic island offers a large variety of resorts, campgrounds, sightseeing, hiking, golfing, fishing, beaches and overall natural beauty. In addition, Manitoulin Island has one of the oldest swinging bridges that bring the mainland of LaCloche to the very popular Little Current. The beautiful town of Little Current offers activities for the whole family ranging from fun-in-the-sun on the beach to touring old farming museums, Little Current has it all.

A 4 hour drive from us is the City of Toronto, which offers theatre plays, restaurants, night life, Canada’s Wonderland Theme Park, Blue Jays Baseball games, Hockey Hall of Fame, the CN Tower and much more.
